Zoom has today unveiled their latest range of handheld recorders, dubbed the Zoom H6 it provides users with six tracks, interchangeable input capsules, 24bit/ 96k recording as well as Phantom Power and more.

With six tracks of simultaneous recording, the H6 include four separate capsules, available in the form of a stereo X/Y and Mid-Side capsules, as well as a Shotgun and dual XLR/TRS combo capsule.

Packing a strap that will allow the Zoom H6 to be attached to a camera or mounted directly to a DSLR or camcorder, and with a full-colour display, viewing recording and playback levels is said to be easy in any environment.

Recording directly to SD, SDHC and SDXC sized up to 128GB, users can record in MP3 and BWF-compliant WAV file formats, with support for high-definition audio recording.

There’s also a stereo Line Out port, headphone jack and built-in speaker, alongside a metronome and chromatic tuner, adjustable playback speed, pitch correction, pre-record, auto-record and backup-record functions.

The Zoom H6 handheld recorder is available today for $399.
