ZTE announced an interesting device at this year’s CES, dubbed the ZTE Spro 2, the new device is both a mini projector and a personal WiFi hotspot all in one.
In terms of specs the ZTE Spro 2 features a touchscreen interface that runs on Google’s Android mobile OS, and has full access to the Google Play Store.
The device also has a microSD card slot, a USB port and a HDMI cable.
“The Spro 2 is our next generation smart projector with an improved consumer experience that was updated based on consumer insights and product reviews,” said Lixin Cheng, chairman and CEO at ZTE USA. “The Spro 2 increases the practicality of purchasing a mobile projector, hotspot or media streaming device and we are excited to continue pioneering this category in 2015.”
The device is also capable of projecting HD video at a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution up to a screen size of up to 120 inches and features a brightness of 200 lumens alongside a 6,300 mAh battery.
The ZTE Spro 2 also measures 5.1 x 5.2 x 1.5 inches, and features 4G LTE connectivity to provide the mobile hotspot for up to wight devices.
As of yet no pricing or release date details have been announced.
