It seems as though social games might be seeing a little blip recently, as most of them are starting to shut down their services, and shortly after EA decided to shut down the social games, Zynga has today announced that it will also be shutting down a selection of games.

These four titles include The VilleEmpires and AlliesDream Zoo and Zynga City on Tencent, all of which will be shut down after the company found that there active users were down 21% from the same time last year, and 8% from last quarter.

However this hasn’t stopped Zynga from making more games, and they will be launching their new title, Draw Something 2 on the social networks later today.

So what do you think? Is this a sign of games on social networks becoming unpopular?
